Appearance: Luke is a fairly built man, with well-looked after muscle build to keep healthy.

He has a light peach skin tone and is six foot, five inches tall in height, he also has sideburns with the ends cut to a minus ninety degree angle and a small goatee beard.

He has black hair which run to his shoulders when loose but are normal tied in two separate parts and raised up slightly, the two extensions very much resemble medium-sized horns on either side of his head, He also has blood-red eyes which change when hollowfied so his pupils turn to reptilian slits, the red in his eyes glow with a red aura and his sclera turns black as with most cases of hollowfication.

Style/Clothing:Luke normally wears a traditional Karate training outfit, which is black with red lining, in addition to that, he wears a red silk obi sash around his waist where his Zanpakutō is attached on his left side against his hip, with this, he wears an black-and-red knee-length Haori over this with a thin collar with the wrists and the outside part of the collar and the rim of the Haori are coloured a crimson red.

He has a relaxed style of clothing, normally sticking to his normal clothing mentioned above but when he needs to dress up for an occasion, he wears a red-and-black silk kimono, with a detailed picture of a black Chinese dragon, it's head at the left shoulder, its main body around the back, wrapped around a mountain with a traditional Japanese shrine at the base of the mountain, its tail coming to rest at the outside leg on the right side of the kimono, with this, he wears a black obi and black Chinese slippers.

Tattoo's/Scars/Etc: Luke has no scars but has a tattoo in the Kanji for shadow "影" on the small of his back as a large tattoo with the ends of the Kanji reaching the middle point of his back, this symbol represents his inner hollow who's name is "Shadow".

Personality: Luke is normally a closed-off person, often coming off cold or even scary to some to the point that most would just avoid him, he prefers to spend time alone, thinking, talking to his Zanpakutō using Jinzen or taking walks around the Seireitei at night. While fighting, he doesn't show much, normally preferring to finish a fight quickly or stopping a fight before it even begins, he's not afraid to fight but prefers not to, instead prefers to talk his way out a fight instead of engaging head on.

But once people get to know Luke better, he is a warm and caring individual, willing to die for the few friends he has then to let them and the people counting on him down. He'll speak calmly, keeping his own torment inside himself so people don't worry about him, although he may go wild with his emotions if he's broken down enough, going either into a fit of rage or a fit of despair, crying over that which made him sad or upset.

When undergoing hollowfication, luke becomes more wild in fighting and personally, becoming somewhat sadistic, eagerly cutting up foes without a second thought, this behavior increases over the time he wears the mask, especially for long periods of time, if Luke hasn't removed the mask by a certain time, his inner hollow then takes over his body for the duration of the battle.

Likes:

• Luke Likes to take walks around the Seireitei at night, especially around cherry blossom trees, parks and forests.

•Luke likes deep fried prawns and noodle dishes like pork ramen.

• Luke likes to spend time with members of his squad and close friends that he has for company.

• Luke also enjoys thinking a lot of the time, spending time in his head, making him seem distant to some people.

• Luke also enjoys sweet teas, especially peach tea, most he keeps in a fridge in his office to keep close by.

• Luke also enjoys sneaking up on people, sometimes for a joke but also due to habit to avoid people by hiding his presence, both physical and spiritually.

Dislikes:
• Luke dislikes being taken for a fool or being made to look like one as he finds it disrespectful to both him and his squad.

• Luke dislikes eating spicy food of any kind if they are over spicy as it makes him feel sick and also plays up his stomach, making him go to the toilet.

• Luke dislikes being around large groups of people as it makes him feel uncomfortable as well as it being easier for someone to kill someone in a large crowd of people.

• Luke dislikes people picking on others, especially when the people being picked on have no way to defend themselves, something he finds disgusting and unfitting of someone to sink that low.

• Luke also dislikes himself and has some form of self-loathing towards himself, this is present whenever he is helpless to do anything about something, blaming himself for things and wishing he was someone that could help or solve the problem at hand.


Ambitions/Dreams/Goals:
• One of Luke's dreams is to fight for a world that will know peace, not only on the outside world but in each person's soul, achieving balance inside themselves and pushing forward to a future where everyone can be happy and not know the pain that comes in war.

• Another of Luke's dreams is to find the peace inside himself, to fill the hole left inside himself caused by his own despair.

• His goal is to protect those under him, close to him and everyone who is innocent, his "will to protect" as you will.



Strengths, Weaknesses & Fears:
• He has a compassionate heart, as he is willing to trust people and share in their pain, although this is also used as a weakness, either by betraying him or holding someone close to him hostage, making him more easily manipulated.

• He does have some paranoia, especially noticeable in large groups of people where he doesn't know their intentions, making him nervous and twitchy, his eyes may dart from person to person to see if they are making any suddenly movements.

• He fears being powerless to help those in need and has a phobia of strange faces, which is part of his paranoia, although once the person is introduced, this part is quickly dealt with.

• He's also a caring individual, when speaking; he will be polite and will address people properly by their titles or other preference the person may have to be referred to as.

• He will also stand up for people getting picked on and those who cannot protect themselves as he can't stand and watch it play out.

• He is also a keen intellect, able to analysis opponents and determine the best way of dealing with the situation and is adaptable to the ever changing battlefield that he fights in, making use of diversions and his other techniques to throw off opponents to get a opening to strike in.

Fighting Style: Luke fights using a close range style but will fall back to Kido for mid-range attacks, he uses a mix of Hakuda with dance-like fluidity for close range attacks, able to move quickly while keeping up a fluid motion of attack, he prefers fighting in the dark or at night were he can take his opponents by surprise, especially if he's attacked, he will use decoys with Shunpo clones, the use of Utsusemi or diverting attention to open strikes for attack, although he will attack openly if it allows to take people by surprise at the suddenly change in tactics to gain the upper hand, all this wraps into a unpredictable fighting style where Luke can switch combat styles to throw off opponents.

Technique Description: The practitioner moves at a fast speed to avoid a critical hit by leaving a afterimage that can take the damage for them, making it appear that the opponent got a critical hit when revealed they hit nothing at all, although the practitioner may leave a outer garment like their coat in case it hampers movement while using Utsusemi, although this maybe just to add some depth that the opponent hit them. can only be used once per battle

Technique Name: Shunpo/speed clones
Technique Description: Luke uses this ability to make a total of five clones to aid in battle, although the clones do not last long once hit so Luke uses them more as diversions to attract attention or to divert his opponents attention from what his really doing. clones last a maximum of seven posts or less if hit once then requires a four post cool down.

Technique Name: Shunpo clone art number two: Twin Sword Dissection
Technique Description: this technique is used by Luke Yasenha by first distracting his opponent with kido or smoke before attacking his opponent from the front before making a shunpo clone to replace himself in the front attack and he moves to attack from the back, he does this because the opponent's natural instinct is to attack from the direction Luke is coming from.

then Luke and his clone swing their swords in an arc towards the opponent's body to aim to cut that affected part which works with Luke hitting both sides simultaneously since the clone has no physical presence to cut, Luke hits both the left and right side to inflict the damage. Requires two posts to cool down

Technique Name: Shunpo clone art number three: Three-Star funeral
Technique Description: This is a more advanced variant of Twin-Sword dissection in where Luke attacks from either the left or right side before quickly replacing himself at high speed with a shunpo clone, moving to the opposite side before replacing himself again with another shunpo clone before the real Luke is behind the target, all three Lukes (the real one and the two clones) attack the left and right sides of the target's body and back by a thrusting action, aiming to impale the target in the sides and the back. Requires three posts to cool down

Technique Name: Shunpo clone art number five: Five-point impalement
Technique Description: a enhanced variation of arts two and three, where Luke makes five shunpo clones covering the front, sides, back, directly bellow and directly above the target, the Lukes then come down at speed as the orginal Luke makes five, extreme fast impalements in six places so fast that the opponent may presume they all the attacks happened at the same time, a side effect of this is it creates a dust cloud, making a six-pointed star in the six different places that Luke impaled the target. Requires five posts to cool down before reuse

Zanpakuto Name: Zetsubō no Sākuru (Crushing Despair)
Zanpakuto Element: Sensitive Illusions
Sealed Weapon Appearance:Zetsubō's sealed form is a wakizashi-type Blade with a circular hilt with six rectangles going from the hilt to the inside of the handle like Rikujōkōrō and has black wrapping around the handle
Spirit Appearance: Zetsubō looks like a fairly tall man, wearing a long black battle worn coat, long baggy trousers and think leather boots, he wore a long black scarf around his head which covered most of his face apart from his eyes, the eyes were cover under the shade of his wide brimmed cowboy-style hat, the tendrils of the scarf flowing behind him, the ends ragged as his whole body was composed of black mist, his hair his black and shaggy, with a strand of his hair hanging down his face from the left side, although once his scarf and cowboy hat is removed, he has a blank face, with no facial features whatsoever, no mouth, nose, ears, eyes, eyebrows or other facial features.
Spirit Personality: Zetsubō is naturally in a state of despair, being a manifestation of Luke's despair, although like Luke, he prefers not to fight like other Zanpakutō and is against harming people if it can be avoided, he also floats naturally a few meters off the floor and he speaks using telepathic abilities since he doesn't have a mouth to speak with, his voice is whisper-like the black mist he is made off, adding to his ghost-like appearance. He is also prone to overeating and getting over emotional rather quickly.
Inner World: Luke's inner world is a large, self-contained sphere of living shadows, within the sphere, there is a large sea of liquid glass, melted to the same liquid state as water, these has the effect of glowing with an inner light, illuminating the area for those inside to see.

Shikai Release Phrase: "Unsheathe the Hushed Casket..."
Shikai Appearance: On the release command, the blade turns to black mist and extends to six feet in length, taking the shape of a blade with wisps of black mist swirling around the blade of mist.

Technique Name: Sensitive Illusions
Technique Description: Zetsubō is able to create Sensitive Illusions inside people by creating a illusion when he "cuts" someone with Zetsubō's mist blade, the wielder calls out a emotion and the illusion shapes itself to match the emotion that is called out, for example, if Luke cut someone with Zetsubō and called at "despair" ten the illusion they are trapped in becomes maybe them at a funeral in order to bring out that emotion but it's the opponent's choice to fight it or let it take over while having to fight Luke in that state.

It's weaker when Zetsubō cuts but when Luke impales the blade into their body and calls a emotion, the illusion and the emotion felt along with it is stronger then it would be if Luke had just cut them, although this can build up in strength with each additional hit Luke makes with his shikai.

Although the blade of mist cannot cut or injure anything, it's basically made of a cold, black mist, it has no cutting edge at all so Luke must put it back into its sealed form to order to properly injure someone.

Technique Description: When Luke cuts or impales a target with his shikai, he can state the command "Fall to Disillusion..." along with the name of his zanpakuto, the target is put into a illusion designed to drawing out their Disillusions; what they think they know, isn't true or getting them to believe they ain't as good as they thought they were. Lasts for three posts, then a three post cool down before reuse

Technique Description: This technique is available in both shikai and bankai, this allows the user to enter the illusion of the target when hit and can fight them inside the illusion, he also has some abilities to change the environments like creating mazes, parks, cities, etc, anything within reason as well as walls to defend against basic long range attacks as well as other illusion based ability

Bankai Name: Zetsubō shēdo hasai (Crushing Despair Shade)
Bankai Release and Appearance: to release the bankai, Luke holds his sealed zanpakuto in front of his chest and use his left hand to grab onto the blade near the guard until it bleeds and runs down the middle to the tip before he say bankai and then he grinds his hand across the blade, cutting into it and coming of the end with his left hand now fully straight to the left, the blade then erupts into black mist, surrounding Luke in a sphere of black mist, once this storm of mist dies down, Luke has now the features of his Zanpakutō spirit with some differences.

The first being he's wearing a plain black coat that reaches down to just below his waist with a hood that covers his head, only showing the front bit of his hair, no shirt so his chest is exposed, loose baggy trousers and thick mountain boots, but now, like Zetsubō, he has no facial features at all as they have been covered by the flesh of Luke's own skin, which is now entirely Matte black; he looses the ability to physically speak and smell while the flesh covering his face makes it appear that he has no face at all, leaving only his hair untouched, although he has his nostrils, they are covered by the flesh as well so they don't visibly appear but still make breathing possible within his bankai.

And he now floats a few meters off the ground like the aforementioned spirit, although if the hollow mask is applied while the bankai is being used, Luke regains his sight and ability to speak by seeing through the eyes of the mask and for a crack to appear, opening up as a crude mouth, the mouth has no features apart from a seemingly endless abyss of despair, although the crack will close if the mask is destroyed or removed.

He "speaks and hears" by his telepathic ability while in his bankai, he is able to talk with people directly to their minds while when they speak or think the answer back, he can pick that up mentally and response back.

Ability Name: Shikai Enhancement
Ability Description: In bankai, the effect of Luke's shikai is increased as well as his strength and speed vastly increased to the point of creating large craters simply by punching or kicking with such force, it creates large shock waves and instead of creating the illusion from cuts or impalement, he replaces that for a touch or getting his hand or another body part inside the opponent's body as in a literal way, his body has become the mist of his shikai so any part touched gives Luke a chance to put a target under a illusion.

Bankai Techniques: Limit 6

Technique Name: Strength and speed enhancement
Technique Description: In bankai, his strength and speed is increased by AR+1, with this is one of his bankai's greatest strengths, as he's able to make small craters that are five meters wide by five meters high (subject to change with advancing tier) with a single punch or kick as well as being able to take down a good chunk of a small building with a single attack (is also subject to change with advancing tier).



Technique Name: Mist body
Technique Description: In bankai, Luke has the ability to change his body from a solid to mist to avoid damage, although if he turns his own body into a mist type, he cannot attack since he has no physical presence need to go offensive. Can last for three post, requires a three post cool down

Technique Name: telepathy
Technique Description: Luke has to use this technique when using his bankai to speak since he doesn't have a mouth to speak with, he projects his voice to his opponents or anyone he is fighting with to communicate properly with them but he cannot read their minds, this ability is only for him to talk in bankai only.

The right hand's transferring ability is more useful in battle while the left hand is used as battle support and as the way to feed the right hand's transfer ability

Luke's inner hollow takes the form of an humanoid demon made of thick shadows, it has four separate mandibles, red eyes with reptile-like slits, large bat wings with black dragon-like scales on the outside of the wing, a three-toed foot with large talons instead of toes, two at the front, one at the back, similar to a bird of prey, the tips of his fingers are to a point like claws and has two horns on either side of his forehead and a thin tail with a tri-ponged end, with a small but noticeable ruby set into the center of the tri-pong end, he calls himself "Shadow" as reference to what he is made of and also Luke's shadow, hinting that he is watching Luke but also his other half, the other side to the same coin as it were.

the mask takes the form of his inner hollow's face to some extent, with the four separate mandibles with traditional hollow-style teeth line on each mandible, with sharp eye sockets and the two horns on either side at the top, he also has two thin red stripes running from the eye-sockets to the bottom like tears of blood, the unique thing about the mask is that unlike other hollow masks, Luke's hollow mask is black instead of white.

History: Luke Yasenha was born in the 70th district in the north Rukongai district, he grew up there, often inside his head to pass the time as he watched birds pass his home, one day, during an outing, he spotted some kids getting beaten up by some older kids, Luke went to stop them, only to get a punch to the gut and forced onto his knees by one of the gang member, who then forced him to watch them beat the living daylights out of the kids he tried to save until some Shinigami came along and chase them away and arrested them, taking the kids that were beaten up to a local medical station to be healed using healing Kido.

After that day, Luke vowed to become a Shinigami to protect those who could not protect themselves, entering the academy, learning the ways of the Shinigami, he spent ten years at the academy, becoming a somewhat popular student due to his skills in Zanjustu and Kido techniques, although Luke disliked the attention this gave him so when he was offered a place as a seated offer in squad three, he took it up where he train in squad three's combat style, at some point, he gaining the ability to use his Shikai, which allowed him to progress to the 3rd seat.

When Luke was 348 years old, Luke was sent out on a normal patrol when he was engaged by a black hollow, which after a fierce battle, Luke defeated it but during the black hollow's final dying moments, stabbed Luke with his hand and infected his body, becoming Luke's inner hollow in the process.

After spending the next hundred years to unlock and train his bankai through training with Zetsubō to first manifesting the spirit, where to unlock his bankai, he had to accept Zetsubō in all forms of himself, in a basic term, Luke had to accept his own despair but instead of using it as a excuse, he should use it to fully awaken Zetsubō's true power, Luke agreed to this and Zetsubō used his emotion illusion to trap him within the five stages of despair: the first was Denial, where Luke was trapped inside a illusion where everyone and everything denial his own existence, no matter what he did and in itself, he learned that it wasn't the people that were denying him, it was his own subconscious denial to forgive himself, once he realized this, he went deep inside himself and let go of his denial and admitted it to himself and out loud, the people turned and saw him, the world brighten up slightly before the first illusion broke, he was then immediately trapped in the next illusion of anger, were he was in a open field, fulled with angry, faceless soul reapers, speaking words of anger and violence towards Luke as they moved towards him with their nameless Zanpakutō drawn, Luke drew his own and fought them but whenever he cut one, the wound regenerated and the soul reaper would just get back up, the attack would also become stronger, before getting overwhelmed, he realized like the last test, this anger was a part of him, which was why they couldn't be killed, so when they attacked, Luke stabbed his Zanpakutō into the ground and spread his arms, closing his eyes to take the hits but he felt hands instead of blades and opened his eyes, seeing that the soul reapers now had faces and were patting him on the shoulder, smiling before they disappeared along with that illusion.

The next illusion was bargaining, where Luke was stuck in an open desert market and he was standing at a stall selling weapons where his Zanpakutō laid on a sword stand, Luke asked the seller how much and the sword deal gave him a ridiculous price for it and ten Luke started to bargain with the dealer for it, willing to give up everything for his Zanpakutō, to which the deal kept giving him outrageous offers, Luke sighed, realizing the deal was never going to let him have his sword so the dealer pointed he pointed to a standard Zanpakutō that students are given during their first days at the academy and was offered a lot more reasonable price for the sword, Luke decide to no longer bargain with the dealer and paid him and took the sword into his hands, walking away but when he look down at the sword, he found he was holding his own Zanpakutō to which then the illusion shattered.

The second to last illusion was depression, where Luke was stuck in his child body in the rain, where the boys that attacked those kids in his past, came and beat him brutally before dumping him on the side walk where he cried in despair, sobbing, the rain becoming heavier as he did so, he cried out for help but no one did, after a while, he realized that his depression was keeping people away and stopping him to doing anything to stop the beatings so when the bullies came back around, when the first punch shoot out, he grabbed it, now in his adult body and tossed them away, clearing up the sky to reveal the scene before that illusion broke as well before he was thrown into the last illusion where he was floating above a desert with Zetsubō floating in front of him, the two then engaged each other, Zetsubō pushing him back, putting a cut into his cheek before they leaped back and attacked again, exchanging blow for blow when Zetsubō cut off the tip of one of his horn hair extensions but when Luke went to attack, the tip was there again and he had no cut on his cheek so when they went to engage each other again, he ended up with a cut on the same cheek and the same tip of his horn hair extension before they completed a cycle, Luke quickly realize this wasn't going to end since they were trapped in a loop, so when Zetsubō came in to stab, he dropped his sword and accepted the blow into his chest, when he look down, Zetsubō had vanished, the sword with him, even though there was a hole in his chest were the blade ran him through, he felt no pain from the injure before the area generated a bright white light, blinding him before the illusion shattered, his chest no longer having a hole in it where the real Zetsubō congratulated him on pasting his tests, stating that now, he is able to release Zetsubō's true power before the spirit reentered his sword, making Luke smile at the familiar presence inside his sword.

after some time to recover and train a bit with his new bankai, he defeated his inner hollow after another fierce battle inside his inner world against the rampaging blakc hollow, gaining access to his own hollow mask but due to its dark nature and because the use of hollow powers was forbidden in the soul society so from that day, he keeps it under wraps unless he's far enough away from people that no one will notice it and if he has to fight a opponent whose strength surpasses his own.

Luke didn't see the message, he was only listening to Epizon try to defend him, only to be silenced by central 46 before they gave sentence to the maggots nest for a hundred years, Luke couldn't say anything as the two guards picked him by the arms and took him away, the guard bring his sobbing zanpakuto with him as they made their way to the maggots nest, a place he had heard of during his time training at squad two; a underground prison facility that housed both shinigami and civilians alike, those either deemed too dangerous to remain a shinigami and put into the maggots nest to be forgotten by the outside world or those who broke the rules of central 46 themselves and committed the worse of crimes: rape, attacking other shinigami, murder of all degrees; these were the worse of the worse and Luke was to be sentenced into the prison full the lowest of the low, but he couldn't fight the absolute command of central 46, once they had decided something, that was it, final and absolute, it was cruel at times but it was fair as the last and final answer to any problem, they reached the forest in good time, Luke turned to his zanpakuto that was being carried by the guard, he so wished he could talk to Zetsubō but he couldn't speak to his zanpakuto while it was contained inside a kido field as it messed with their telepathic connection, the only thing the group could hear was the crying and sobbing of Luke's zanpakuto, Luke didn't recognise where they were as he hadn't been to this deep into the forest before, their was a station just outside a cave, there was a stealth force member at the post and he looked at the guard who was holding his zanpakuto.

"So, you bring me more visitors, Akage-san" The stealth force member asked the guard know identified as Akage, Akage sighed, it was a nickname made because of his bright red hair and it annoyied him but the stealth force member was his friend so he had grown used to the nickname by now while the stealth force member looked at Luke.

"yeah, Kakusa-san, we have fourth seat Luke Yasenha being transferred here because of attacking a fellow shinigami officer and critically injuring three other shinigami, although I was told that he has a shorter sentence because he was believed to be insane at the time but I don't really believe stories until I see them first hand, anyway, here's my pass, Kakusa and let us in" Akage told Kakusa as he handed him a set of papers from his uniform, allowing them to enter, Kakusa nodded and came out after stamping them in to check for weapons, it was standard procedure to check for anywhere someone can hide a weapon, having found no weapons apart from the zanpakuto Akage was carrying, Kakusa pointed at it.

"What about his zanpakuto? I can't allow that in, Akage" Kakusa told Akage about Luke's zanpakuto that cried in his arms, Akage pointed to the papers he had handed Kakusa only moments ago.

"We have permission to bring his zanpakuto in because we were told that keeping the blade near him will prevent anymore "psychotic episodes" and to put it in a sealed container outside his cell to prevent anything during the night" Akage told Kakusa, who doubled checked the papers and finding the permission slip and stamped it, nodding, he sat down back at his post and gestured to the entrance to the maggots nest.

"Off you go then, Akage-san, safe journey, my friend" Kakusa told Akage, who nodded and smiled back before taking Luke down himself to the maggots nest, they entered the main yard, where the prisoners where doing whatever prisoners do but all had their eyes on Luke, Akage took off the gloves and went off the place his zanpakuto in the containment box just outside his cell in the hole, one of the prisoners, about Luke's height and build came over and looked him in the face.

"So, your the new kid? you look pretty but I don't know if I should beat you until you rain piss on the floor or fuck you up until you can't move or see straight, what do you think, pretty boy?" the prisoner said in a mocking and downgrading tone as the other prisoners watched to see what would happen, Luke didn't say anything, his eyes covered in shade before his right hand shot out and grabbed the prisoner's neck before he could even blink, the other prisoners would then noticed that his right hand wasn't in anyway normal; the skin of his hand was completely black with black, dragon like scales covering the first, black skin layer, his fingernails were also pointed and curved like claws as the prisoner was being choked in mid air, Luke looked at the prisoner, showing his blood red eyes as tears came down his checks but his eyes also showed anger in his blood red irises.

"Let me tell you something pal; I haven't had a good day and I'm in a very bad mood, so kindly leave me alone and get lost!" Luke growled before throwing the prisoner away like he was a ragdoll, smashing into a table and knocking the prisoner out cold with the force, Luke went to the tunnel where the hole was, the prisoners looks of fear followed him into the darkness of the tunnel, he turned to look back, his blood red eyes glowing with hatred in the darkness, looking just the red eyes were floating their in the darkness and the prisoners suddenly found they were more interested in doing other things then look at him, Luke found Akage waiting for him, his zanpakuto being held against the wall within a box with kido seals on it, Akage didn't notice his right hand as it was too dark to see as he was let inside his cell and locked the door, leaving him to return to the outside world, Luke sat on his buck bed that hung against the wall, holding his hands together in a thinker's pose.

I won't be forgotten...I'll be back, the shadow of the seireitei shall return one day, I promise you" Luke thought as the flame nearby in his cell flickered slightly before, after a few more seconds of life, was put out by the oncoming darkness...
